Littleton Robotics’ FIRST Robotics Competition team 6328, Mechanical Advantage, is one of four winners of the 2024 Chezy Champs competition in San Jose, California.
Chezy Champs is an annual off-season tournament organized by team 254, the Cheesy Poofs, to determine which team is the “best in the west,” with team participation being by invite or approval only. In other words, only the highest-performing teams come to compete.
Mechanical Advantage ended the 2024 season with a win-loss-tie ratio of 57-12-0, becoming officially ranked as #9 in the New England district. During Chezy Champs, Mechanical Advantage was ranked #2 following qualification matches and was selected by team 2910, Jack in the Bot, during alliance selection, alongside teams 670, Homestead Robotics, and 5199, Robot Dolphins from Outer Space.
The alliance competed with a ratio of 3-1-0 in the playoffs, coming back from a defeat in the fifth playoff round and being promoted to the finals. They won the best of three matches, with the third and final match being neck in neck. In total, the alliance ended the event with a combined ratio of 5-2-0. With that, Mechanical Advantage said their goodbyes and returned to Littleton to prepare for the upcoming 2025 season.
