It Doesn't Last Forever

It comes to you but leaves in the blink of an eye

It may be gone from you forever or it may be back in a short while

Nevertheless, it hurts you more than words can describe

Because it takes up everything in me and clings around my insides

It fills my brain

Its what keeps me sane

It fills my heart

It will never depart

Although it has been lost

It forever stays there

Keeping my mind crisscrossed

Not letting it go elsewhere

I want to go back home

But I cannot do that

My emotions fall flat

And I begin to roam

Hopefully it will come to me soon again

But for now, its emotions horror over you

You may feel dark inside, however light will come soon

Don't dwell on it or it will crush you
