Why should I improve my writing?
Improving writing skills is one of the best things you can do for your future. Writing skills are needed in every career, even if you don’t expect it. Accurate and polished writing is helpful in emails, presentations, reports, and social media updates. Every Iinstagram post from accounts that share news or stories has a whole team of writers behind it. In a Forbes article from 2018, Greta Solomon wrote, “...according to a Conference Board survey of 431 human resources professionals, writing is one of the biggest employee skill gaps.” Growing and enhancing your writing can give you a leg up over those who lack the skill. The process can take time, but once you learn effective tools and techniques, they can fast-track your success.
How can I join?
The LHPress meets once a month in Ms. Barry’s room. Reach out to Ms. Barry or our editor-in-chief Ella Byrne-Cabot to find out when our next meeting is. Read past articles in our archives!
