Trader Joe's, a large chain company with stores that feel local, is known for its seasonal snacks. Yet there is one tropical snack that can be found on the shelves year-round. It’s stripy, tangy, mouthwatering, fruity coating has just the right amount of kick to it. Packaged in a simple plastic bag with a colorful label, it lives in the dried fruit and nut section.
If you are a true Trader Joe's fan, you would have already figured out this snack is none other than the iconic Chili Dried Mango strips- sold most often as 8 strips in a bag. Once the last strip has been eaten, you’ll be wishing there were more.
While most other mango snacks have annoying fibers that somehow always find a way to lodge themselves between your teeth (and later become impossible to find) these snacks are baked to perfection, meaning every fiber magically breaks with one crunch.
And if you're afraid of spice, fear not: the chili on these mangoes has about the same kick as some fresh black pepper. The spice reminds you to slow down and savor every bite.
If you are still a spice skeptic, then simply look to the side; the Dried Mango snacks could be your next craving. Dried Mango strips are Chile Dried Mango’s more mellow cousin. One of our favorite things about the Trader Joe’s Dried Mango is the decadent, crispy sugar coating around each leaf-shaped piece. Each and every morsel will take you to a tropical beach with the breeze surfing through your hair.
Whether you are a fan of spice or not, you will be sure to find a flavor you love in these strips. Just make sure you buy more than one bag.
