Spirit Week

As a part of Littleton High School’s annual tradition, the student body will be participating in Spirit Week starting September 30th by following daily themes leading up to the Homecoming football game and dance. This year’s Spirit Week will be different from the years prior because of its creative new themed days, Pep Rally games, and overall enthusiasm.

On Monday, students will be taking part in Pajama Day by wearing their pajamas to school in a comfortable fashion. Teachers often get involved in this theme with the students. While some wear casual t-shirts and sweatpants, others go all out with slippers, robes, and sleeping masks.

USA is Tuesday’s theme. The school will show their patriotic spirit by wearing their clothing, shoes, and accessories. Some students also share festive beads, face paint, and stickers. The hallways will be filled with American pride on Tuesday!

On Wednesday, LHS wears pink! That evening, the boys and girls soccer games will be donating to Breast Cancer Awareness causes and in support, the spirit is to wear all pink. While some may wear pink from head to toe, others throw on a themed shirt or pair of socks to show their support.

On Thursday, the high school will be participating in Meme Day. Students will have the chance to reenact their favorite memes on the internet and get creative with how they present it. At other schools, people have dressed up as those in iconic vines, taped memes to their shirts, or simply dressed up as a character who is associated with an online phenomenon.

On the final day, the spirit is Tiger Pride. Students will show off their school spirit by wearing LHS clothing. Spirit Week closes off with a fanatical Pep Rally where all four grades come together on the bleachers in the gym. The loud environment is accompanied by the students of the LHS Band. At the Pep Rally, selected people from each grade will get to play games such as Dodgeball, Tug of War, Balloon Sitting, and Face the Cookie. At the end of the rally, the senior class superlatives will be announced for the yearbook and everyone will be looking forward to the Homecoming Football Pink Game that night and the Dance on Saturday.
